How We Got the Shots Panel
On January 26, Benjamin Barakat, Melissa F. Kaelin, Andrew McCarthy, Brandon Nesbitt and Jess Santos each shared a night photo from their portfolio and told the story behind the shot—everything from the circumstances in the field, to gear they used, to post-production techniques to finish the job. See the methods behind the madness of images of silky star trails, auroras, the sun, lightning over Gateway Arch, and a blue-hour blend.
